On February 23, 2022, CD14 Councilman Kevin de León submitted a Motion at the regularly scheduled City Council meeting to rename Skid Row’s Gladys Park in honor of General Jeff! The Council File number is 22-0198.

I was not involved in the push to rename Gladys Park after General Jeff – others in the community and at the City came together to do that. I did write up the bio of his work in the park on this post however, with help from others.

great 2 hear its moving forward,but we still have 2 get the other council members 2 sign on 2 the final vote. so that means we have 2 call/contact the other 14 council members and tell them 2 support the vote 2 change the name…we almost home…keep pushing
